The beauty of patience

Patience. Wikipedia defines patience (or forbearing) as the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. Patience is the level of endurance one can take before negativity [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patience].

Well, this definition is so technical, though I'm kind of asking myself right now if there is something technical about patience. Lol.

So, what does patience give you? It gives you the right and luxury of being prettily cool while waiting for something, or doing something complicated. It puts you in a situation where you can still manage additional delays without even asking for it. It gives you the right mood to handle things out of your control. It makes you graceful despite facing a lot of pressures. It gives you hope that someday, a dream and a promise will be somehow fulfilled. It strengthens your faith and trust, first to God, then loved ones.

The Holy Bible emphasized the importance of being patient. The Lord Himself shows us the best example on what patience is really all about. He waited for the perfect time to send the Messiah, His only son Jesus Christ. Salvation can be attained by our faith and by His grace. Even the worst sins thinkable to man can be forgiven with total repentance and apology. Humbling Himself in human form, leaving His kingdom to dwell with us and save us sinners, still loving us despite the so-many times we have displeased Him: this is genuine patience. Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him [2Peter 3:15]. Tell me, what patience could have been better than this?

Patience is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit alongside with love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control [Galatians 5:22-23]. God emphasizes the importance of patience in our lives. The lives of Job, Paul, Daniel, Moses, Joseph son of Jacob, etc. are all testimonies of the beauty of patience.

The patient are blessed for they are faithful.

Life is a choice. Several times in my life, my patience was tested, leaving me watching over and controlling my temper. I really have a bad temper, maybe because of my choleric personality. I am not fond of doing complicated things, especially those which requires so much time and concentration, for I easily get distracted, even with just a cat's meow. Lol.

Patience is a gift. It must be desired. I will.
