So Now What?

Life has an unusual pattern. No mathematical equation can ever predict what will happen seconds after you read this post. There are times you really crave for things that satisfy you, and there are also times that you curse the same things because they are there. Life is not constant; it is always an irrational variable that no single comprehensive expression can summarize.

Imagine yourself sitting in a dark room; isolated, silent, alone; and in the same moment, memories come flashing back in your mind. Unconsciously, you can find yourself smiling (alone). What happened in the past will always be a part of our being, whether we like it or not. We cannot deny the fact that the person who did those is the same person you are now. The way we think and react may change but you are still the same person.

We think of life as a journey but really, it is not just it. There are more to it, it is not just a journey, it is a probability, a game, a choice, a smile. No matter how we define it, it will always be not just it; there is always lacking.

I am not trying to define life here. I am just presenting the idea that even an aged person if given the chance to be young again and rebuild his life will not end up successful. He may know what to do but he does not have the ability to predict what awaits him. He may have the sweetest of all plans but as long as he breathes, he will always be prone to failures, plenty of them.

So the question is: What completes life? What defines it?

One of the most acceptable theory on how everything starts, perhaps one that really amazes me is The Big Bang Theory. The universe is “acceleratingly” expanding and reversing the process, theoretical physicists calculated that some time 14 billion years ago, there was what they call now as the SINGULARITY. Before the bang, there was this thing so compact, full of energy, very potent that exploded. In this single thing, everything was created.

I just want to clear that I do not agree with this idea of how life began, I have something in mind. Let’s go back to the point.

So where did this single particle come from? It all comes back to one thing: there must be an origin, there must be an alpha. Because NOTHING can never produce something, that is a violation of the sacred laws of physics. When you go back to that time, if you take that single thing out of the equation, you would have the perfect definition of nothing. But there was that one thing. Then what was it? Or should I say, Who was it?

Maybe you can tell me that I wasted your time just to tell you my point. Life will always be a mystery that only a superior being can crack. Without that, we would tend to ask for more. You know what I’m thinking. You know what I mean. You are not an idiot, are you?

your definition of life - "No matter how we define it, it will always be not just it; there is always lacking." true. :)

Life is indded a mystery. Nobody is a perfect planner. We are always bombarded with tough questions such as: "Why me, Why these, Why now?" Sometimes we become paranoid of the struggles, seem so desperate yet we still survive because life is not just it! There is always a meaning or reason but the best thing is just to live to the fullest because life is a gift and we are not certain when it will last.Let us live life. God bless. M.Neng
