My Thoughts of Her

 MY THOUGHTS OF HER

Why was I sad? Why was I alone?
Not doing a thing, staying in my room;
Longing to see one woman I treasure,
Did not know where to start looking for.

First Letter Down

I am not really a good writer but I really love writing poems. Here's one I wrote. Hope you like it.

 First Letter Down

Days are gone and yet numbered,
All those things are remembered;
Unexpectedly am knowing you,
Living every minute,
Every second of those are true.

What I don't believe

I believe every word of the Bible. I believe every verse of Scripture. I believe everything God says in His book.

WHAT I DON'T BELIEVE IS WHAT THE BIBLE DOES NOT SAY!

I believed Jesus when He said in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world,

Only God forgives sins

Contrary to what men believe, only God can forgive the sins that have been committed against Him. Joseph Smith nor Brigham Young cannot forgive sins. Catholic priests cannot

The unforgivable sins

What is the unforgivable sin? Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the unforgivable sin. There are in reality two unforgivable sins:
  1. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. It is an eternal sin.
  2. Unrepented sins are unforgivable, however,

Is sexual immorality a victimless sin?

Is sexual immorality among Christians a victimless sin? If unmarried Christians are cohabiting. If Christians are involved in homosexual activity or other acts of fornication, are these victimless sins?

Priorities

I had wasted so much time doing things I supposed to be not doing.

FIFA 12, NBA 2K11, How I Met Your Mother, Facebook, Twitter, texting, oversleeping and power naps, mall strolls, movies, cyberstalking, e-surfing --> these ate most of my time.

Who are you?

MNM

Can you please tell me who you are. Hehe! Thanks for your comments about my blog. God speed.

Amazing love

These lines are from the song Amazing Love by Chris Tomlin.
I’m forgiven because You were forsaken,
I’m accepted, You were condemned.

Amazing love,
How can it be
That You, my King, should die for me.
Come think of any king, president or any authority today willing to die to save those who have done something against him? Seek for someone who's always willing to be selfless and sacrifice himself in behalf of others he does not even know? Do you even know a person willing to take blame for all the violations charged to the people who hates him? Is there someone from the financially elite group of families that left the comfort of his life and live with the poor on the streets and squatter areas?

I give you 5 minutes to think about these.

After 5 minutes... Can you name one? Then that person must be so pure and innocent. But the Bible mentions of the One who did these all, His name was, is and will always be JESUS!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

What human or earthly love can surpass this amazing love the Lord gave us? He gave His one and only Son for all the people who violated His law, displeased, dishonored, blasphemed and disgraced His Holy Name. How was that even possible? Don't ask my friend, it is possible. With God, nothing is impossible and impossible is nothing. Amen.

And now, come think of this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE LORD! You are called to be with Him, to follow Him, to obey Him and to have Him in your life. Take care of His will and He will take care of yours. Admit it, we cannot save ourselves from the wrath of our sins. We really can't, that's why Jesus is telling us all: 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). Surrender yourselves to Him, and be amazed on how He leads your life.

Jesus is our Savior. His amazing love endures and is eternal.

Mrs. Johanna Bairiza U. Hipe

WOW!

They say, the first times are one of the scariest but most amazing moments we can have in our lives. Yesterday was my first time to witness a Muslim wedding. The ceremony was very different from Christian's. You must be a very sincere and brave groom for you will be the one facing the Muslim priest and the family of the bride. All of your responsibilities and limitations will be presented. Glad a translator was provided for us to understand what's going on there since the rituals were done in Arabic and Maguindanaoan dialects.

Enough of that, we were really glad to see our good friend Johanna be wed to the love of her life. I can still remember how Joie cried and shed her tears of joy seeing the bride walk the aisle. The bride is soooooo beautiful. Perhaps, the most beautiful she had been since being born.

When they faced the crowd, they really make a lovely couple. The feeling was really different seeing a special friend being wed than just attending somebody's wedding. I was asked by the emcees to give some message and I really don't think they were blessed by my message since I myself am not married, but I just told them to be open to each other and love each other since they were officially and spiritually one.

I will always be happy for my friend Johanna. She really is a good woman, one of the most selfless person I met.

God bless them.

Profligacy

I bumped into thesaurus.com and their word of the day is PROFLIGACY. What is profligacy?

1. Given over to dissipation; dissolute.
2. Recklessly wasteful; wildly extravagant.

Profligacy. BOW!

The Prodigal Son

Luke 15:11-32 NIV

Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.

"Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.

So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

"When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.'

So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' "But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate. "Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.

So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.' "The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him.

But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.

But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "

If you can invisible tell what first naughty things you do?
See if my crushes talk about me or find out what they like, or what they talk about. STALKING it will be.

Your ideas and expectation about love
It is a gift, an investment. As I mature, I realize it's not something you can mess with. It must be pure, and innocent. It must be lawful, and not sinful. It must respect the will of the Lord. Love is something that can't be paid nor can be bought. It's something free to give and everyone deserves. And most importantly, since God is love, to use a simple logic here, love is God. That's how it is, it's love.

The beauty of patience

Patience. Wikipedia defines patience (or forbearing) as the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. Patience is the level of endurance one can take before negativity [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patience].

Well, this definition is so technical, though I'm kind of asking myself right now if there is something technical about patience. Lol.

So, what does patience give you? It gives you the right and luxury of being prettily cool while waiting for something, or doing something complicated. It puts you in a situation where you can still manage additional delays without even asking for it. It gives you the right mood to handle things out of your control. It makes you graceful despite facing a lot of pressures. It gives you hope that someday, a dream and a promise will be somehow fulfilled. It strengthens your faith and trust, first to God, then loved ones.

The Holy Bible emphasized the importance of being patient. The Lord Himself shows us the best example on what patience is really all about. He waited for the perfect time to send the Messiah, His only son Jesus Christ. Salvation can be attained by our faith and by His grace. Even the worst sins thinkable to man can be forgiven with total repentance and apology. Humbling Himself in human form, leaving His kingdom to dwell with us and save us sinners, still loving us despite the so-many times we have displeased Him: this is genuine patience. Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him [2Peter 3:15]. Tell me, what patience could have been better than this?

Patience is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit alongside with love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control [Galatians 5:22-23]. God emphasizes the importance of patience in our lives. The lives of Job, Paul, Daniel, Moses, Joseph son of Jacob, etc. are all testimonies of the beauty of patience.

The patient are blessed for they are faithful.

Life is a choice. Several times in my life, my patience was tested, leaving me watching over and controlling my temper. I really have a bad temper, maybe because of my choleric personality. I am not fond of doing complicated things, especially those which requires so much time and concentration, for I easily get distracted, even with just a cat's meow. Lol.

Patience is a gift. It must be desired. I will.

Intentions

Your actions will be defined by your intentions.

God sees the heart. He's the only One who knows our real purpose, and it's up to us to choose what it will be. It's a little bit complicated but it's just that way it is. God gave us freewill to do the will of our hearts. He is glorified when we do what He wills. Otherwise, when we still call Him in the middle of that, God promise is that everything will turn out good.

Whatever our intentions are in doing a thing, let us not forget that we have a God there, watching over us, ALL THE TIME! Seeing every step we take, hearing every word we said, and listening to all of our thoughts. He cares, all the time. Please do not hesitate to call Him for He is just waiting for you to say: "Lord God, I can't do this without You. I need You Lord more than anything else."

BTW, so why intentions? Why is this blog called 'intentions'? It's because I'm telling everyone that I am aware that He is there all the time, and that God knows how much I desire to glorify Him. Please be careful on how you judge my actions (though it's best that you must stop judging for that's His job) for above anything else, I have Him. If my actions are often misinterpreted, then I think it's a sign that I am not doing good enough to convince you of my real intentions.

I hope I clear things out. I really do.

So long my friend.

18 Ways to Ruin Your Reputation on Facebook

Rich Witmer
(From Pastor Oriel Ballano)

Every time you post something, you risk hurting, offending or distancing yourself from people. So, here are 18 things you want to avoid doing on Facebook.

Facebook is a great way for you to build and maintain relationships with people both inside your church and in your community. But Facebook is not without its risks. Every time you post something, you risk hurting, offending or distancing yourself from people. So, here are 18 things you want to avoid doing on Facebook…

First, the ugly…

1) Post something out of frustration in the heat of the moment. We all get frustrated at times. And if you want to engage people authentically, you need to “keep it real.” But Facebooking when angry, frustrated, or hurt is never a good idea. Take a few minutes (or a few hours) to cool down, and then think again if you really want to use Facebook to vent.

2) Criticize people. Even if you don’t use a person’s name, chances are you’re Facebook friends with that person or someone close enough to the situation to know who you’re really talking about.

3) Embarrass yourself. Expect everyone in your congregation and your community to see everything you post to Facebook. So, don’t post anything you wouldn’t be comfortable saying or showing from the pulpit on a Sunday morning.

4) Embarrass your family. Our spouses and kids say and do funny things all the time. Most of those things can be posted to Facebook with no problem, and they help people to see you’re a normal person with a normal family. But be sensitive and when in doubt, ask your spouse and kids if it’s OK to share a quote, happening, or pic online.

5) Criticize other churches in the community. Every church has a different mission, ministry philosophy, style of worship, and theology. But we all share one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. We should be known for our unity not our division.

The self-absorbed…

6) Only talk about your church. Pastors, when people become Facebook friends with you, it’s because they want to engage with you – a real person – not a spokesperson for your church.

7) Share everything posted to the church FB page. Even if you post personal updates to your Facebook profile, don’t repost every church update as well. Some – yes, all – no.

8 ) Just talk about yourself. When you go to a social event, do you like hanging around with people who only talk about themselves and never ask you about you? Don’t be one of those people online either.

The disingenuous…

9) Act like your life is perfect. Nobody is perfect, and everyone knows it. If you act like everything is good all the time, you’ll be perceived as inauthentic, wearing a mask. Facebook is a great way for you to build and maintain relationships with people both inside your church and in your community. But Facebook is not without its risks. Every time you post something, you risk hurting, offending or distancing yourself from people.

The disingenuous…

10) Act like you’re always “joyful in the Lord” Nobody is happy all the time either.

11) Act like you have all the answers. Nobody likes a know-it-all either. Share insight and advice when asked. Be confident but not arrogant.

The offender…

12) Act like the language/morality police. Your Facebook friends are not perfect. They are going to swear, post questionable pictures of themselves, and share things you don’t agree with. If something is really bad, consider contacting the person privately about it, but don’t call people out publicly for what is unfortunately common behavior in our culture.

13) Roll out the fire and brimstone. I don’t know if preaching about sin and hell worked with past generations, but it’s not going to put you in a position to influenced people on Facebook. People on Facebook respond much more favorably to hope and love.

14) Be overly political. It’s OK to take stands on key issues, but unless you want to irk half your church and close the door to half the people in your community (not to mention risk losing your non-profit status), don’t tow a party line.

15) Engage people in debates. Online (and offline) debates rarely cause anyone to shift their position on an issue. Discussion is great, but if things get heated or personal, it’s time to lighten up.

… The disengaged

16) Post a lot of theological stuff that’s over the head of your friends. It’s great for pastors to engage their Facebook friends in spiritual conversations, but avoid posting your doctoral thesis. It’s not going to engage anyone, and will put people off.

17) Login once every week or two. Relationships require consistency. You can take breaks, go on vacation, and don’t need to be on Facebook every day, but you’ve got to be regular if you’re going to build relationships in Facebook.

18) Fail to respond. When people send you messages, post to your wall, or post comments to your status updates and links, it’s important to respond. Answer people’s questions. Thank people for their insight and stories.
