180-degree turn

"We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God." [Acts 14:22 NIV]

This is the verse that struck me in my devo for today. The term "hardships" is so perfect to describe the feeling of turning out our back from the wordly things and pursue Godly things. It is not easy to depart from our usual ways and do His will, for our ways are not His ways.

Time will come that our faith will be tested. There will be times when we have to choose between God and the things, living or not, we so love. Beware!

But do not worry too much, a great promise awaits. Are there prettier places than the Kingdom of God? His Kingdom is a paradise prepared for those who'll accept, praise and worship His name and do His will.

We may live 40, 60 or even 80 years for this cruel life but an eternity of abundance and joy awaits.

We may be walking in a rough crooked road today, just turn 180 degrees and never look back again. There is no condemnation in God, only forgiveness.

He is just waiting for you to ask. Now it's your call.
