God sees the heart

This is from Acts 9-10.

Cornelius was a man of great faith, but he was not a Jew, he was an Italian Soldier, a centurion. During the time of Simon Peter, God revealed himself to Cornelius asking him to call for Peter and hear what Peter would have to say for him.

On the other side, God also revealed something to Peter. God was making Peter eat an impure meat, according to Jewish traditions, but God told Peter not to call impure all things God has made clean. That was not clear to Peter until such time he was sent of to Cornelius' house. There he preached and testified that Jesus is the Christ and the Lord above all. He introduced Jesus in the life of Cornelius.

Back to the revelation of God to Peter, the meaning of those was that God sees and answers those who call Him. It was a law during those days that Jews must not enter the house of the unbelievers, but what matter most is the law of the Lord our God.

This is a powerful message, that I hope that God will be revealing you something about this story that you really have to think about. God did the same to me. God revealed to me the significance of this story in my life.

God sees the heart more than anything else in our lives. Just call for the Lord with all your heart, have faith and He will answer.

God is so good to turn His back on us!

Amen.
